"These last three years, I've had the honor of serving you on the board of trustees of NEISD. It's the district I grew up in and care about. 

"To my supporters, volunteers, donors and prayer warriors, thank you from the bottom of my heart.  To the new people I have met on this journey, especially parents and teachers, thank you for your kindness and encouragement.  It can be thankless work, but seeing what great things you are doing for your children's and students' learning and growth is inspiring.
